Welcome back to the tournament! You’re looking at crowd fav, Earl Skakel (2-1, 25) and tournament fav Keith Carey (5-2, 6)! That’s right. I think Keith will take it all and I’ll reveal my entire bracket later in the post. Earl’s in the news as well, not only for showing his dick to everyone last week, but he’s finally making his return to the ring! You can catch him at the RiotLA comedy festival taking on Roast Battle sweetheart, Olivia Grace (4-1, 7)! You can find out when/where here! Earl’s been shredding her week after week and It’ll be great to see what Olivia’s been cooking up in her absence. There’s still time to get me a bracket!
Time. To. Pre. View.
Love this table of judges. The Sklar Brothers are consistently hilarious and tend to roast everyone when they’re at the judge’s table. Check out their podcast Sklarboro County, which was recently named a top ten sports podcast by Awful Announcing. I’ve been on the Sklar bandwagon ever since this bit captured a young Josh’s heart. I do believe this is the first appearance for Fortune Feimster (left) and Eliza Skinner (right)! Fortune is a hilarious national headliner and Chelsea Lately alum. Eliza has been all over the late night circuit and occasionally puts on a show called Turnt Up, a freestyling competition with comedians. Maybe she can collab with Coach Tea tonight and give us a Roast Battle theme song?
In the first undercard of the evening, MIkey G (0-0, UR) makes his debut against fellow rookie, Travis Denley (0-0, UR)!
What the hell is going on with these two? They somehow look like a shittier version of each other. Mikey G seems to have a marijuana and wrestling obsession, which is fitting because he looks like the burnout son that the Ultimate Warrior left in a dumpster. Why does Travis’ face looks so old? If Kenny G cut his hair and placed his head on a pre-pubescent athlete, we’d have good ol’ Trav here. Something tells me Mikey, whose last name is unknown which is classic wrestler, will be a lot of bark and no bite. The pick is Trav.
The second undercard pits Brent Duncan (2-2, 46) against RAAB! (1-1, 90)!
Been a while since we saw these two! Big welcome back for my pal Brent, who has been away for a bit doing a big boy job. He works in casting for a talent show that does not have it’s own web site. So just know, if you don’t vote for him, you’ll never make it. Audition info here! RAAB!, whose name stands for Really About Asian Boys, had a pretty good showing in his last win. I think Brent’s time away from the ring will serve him well and he should walk away with an easy win.
In the final battle of the night, the second round begins with Doug Fager (1-0, RBR) taking on Omid Singh (1-0, RBR)!
STOKED AF. Love both of these guys. Both pulled of huge upsets in round one. Doug took down Jerron Horton (4-3, 12) with probably the best performance of the first round. Omid ousted former number one overall roaster Alex Hooper (7-1, 2) with ease. It’ll be an interesting clash of styles. Omid is a clean and clever roaster. Doug is a little more graphic but just as hilarious. Doug has won every time I’ve picked him to lose. The only other time I picked him as the winner, he lost and quit comedy. I’m going with Doug here. Just because I think he’d make a great nurse.
Here’s my bracket. I won’t get into detail and step on future coverage. See everyone tonight!
