Roast Battle is BACK tonight with a super-stuffed seven-fight slate and a judges dais packed with veteran roasters. Let’s meet ’em!

Newly-minted Los Angeles champ Kim Congdon takes her first seat at the judges’ table tonight alongside all-time MVP of the VIP, TV-champ Mike Lawrence, and The Daily Show’s newest correspondent, Michael Kosta, a Comedy Store alum.

First up in the undercards, Manny Ortiz returns to the ring looking to take-out McDonald’s enthusiast, Tania Estrada.

Judging from this picture, Manny’ll have his hands full with this Selena Go-mess, but if it’s anything like his last battle, these guys will both be ordered to go. It was a double loss, so he set the bar pretty cho-low. Also, he looks like Mexican John C. Reilly… John “Sí” Reilly. I am very good at puns.

Next up, Eric “The Hanukkah Kid” Abbenante clashes with Zach “Christmas Story” Stein.

Eric’s got a solid .500 record, but tonight he hopes to break back into winning territory in an even match against another solid newcomer Zach Stein. Will his Zionist zings be able to put a hurting on Zach so bad they burn for eight whole nights, or will the bespectacled beast be able to shoot his eye out? Will every other comic with a microphone make that reference for the 400th time? Find out tonight!

Following that, Keith Reza makes a long-awaited return to take on what I assume is his imaginary girlfriend/ alter ego, Paige Wesley.

Paige has been turning in some quality fights lately – last seen in a killer matchup with Rookie of the Year nominee, John-Michael Bond – while Keith has been conspicuously absent. Seeing these two in the same room at the same time will hopefully put to bed a lot of nasty rumors once and for all. Either that or I have no ide how Keith is going to pull off playing both parts in a live roast battle.

In our evening’s only black and white battle, we’ll be seeing Chris Wilmoth take on Jordan Baney.

Both known within the open mic scene but first-timers in battle, our evening won’t be complete without these two going blow-for-blow in an official virgin sacrifice.

Brian McDaniel steps in the ring for a first time to take on the returning Isaac “Flaco” Martinez

Isaac “Flaco” Martinez had a strong showing in his debut a while back and was a heavy contender for Roastie nominations in the now-defunct categories of “Best Nickname” and “Most Dehydrated Fred Armisen.” We’ll see tonight if he can keep that momentum going against the untested Brian McDaniel.

For our final undercard of the evening, Doon Sandors and Tim Groeschel both step back in the ring for a good old fashioned beard-off!

This is the sort of matchup you get when you switch your Grindr location settings to Bakersfield. Both these guys have had very strong showings in past battles. Doon had as strong a debut as one can have against Jason King earlier this year, while experience is on Tim’s side having taken several turns in the ring including a few main event matches.

Finally, for our main event, we’ll see two all-time favorites face off in a five joke match: Sarah Keller versus Tony Bartolone.

It’s hard to bring up Tony Bartolone and Roast Battle together without thinking of one of his several over-the-top entrances, and there are few – if any – battlers he might be more excited to enter than Sarah “Cold Blooded” Keller. Sarah’s had an incredibly strong year, finally earning a much-deserved ranking after taking down yours truly a few months back. Tony, on the other hand is finding himself back on top after losing several battles by turning crowds on the basis of failed theatrics. He’s never been short on jokes, though, and when his entrances work (for example, his Roastie-nominated entrance against Doug Fager) they’ve proven explosive. Sparks are sure to fly as two of the best lock horns, and it’ll be a surefire night of bloodshed in the belly room. Let’s roast!
