Roast Battle is back, bitches, with a stellar three-fight lineup!
Tonight, the matches will be overseen by Comedy Central’s Half Hour alum and the pride of Cleveland, Ramon Rivas. We’ve also got a guaranteed appearance from the Roastmaster General himself, Jeff Ross! That third spot is yet to be filled, but given the level of talent wandering the Comedy Store halls every night, it’s sure to be a fun time up at the VIP section.
Our first undercard looks like a battle between white privilege and white pride with Russell Ells squaring off against Nate Banditelli.
Russell really shined in his last battle against Doon Sanders a few months back, and if he can recreate that magic tonight he’ll be changing his name from Russell Ells to Russel W’s. Nate Banditelli, on the other hand, has had a much tougher time connecting in the Roast Battle ring, with his most recent match resulting in a loss to Mia Mars as well as two consecutive double-loss battles, which can be almost as humiliating as a loss to Mia Mars.
Next up Sara June makes a quick return to take on fellow Austin-ite Yusef Roach.
Sara had a fire debut only a month ago, taking a narrow loss to Billy Anderson. Yusef, on the other hand – an unknown in the Roast Battle arena – does nevertheless boast a blue checkmark next to his name on Facebook, so he is either hilarious and successful enough to get verified, or simply had the time to send them an email and ask for it. Which one is it? Find out tonight!
Finally, in our main event, we’ve got the only-recently-no-longer-undefeated Jeff Sewing against literally everyone’s favorite person, Nicole Becannon.
After a few consecutive early losses, Nicole Becannon has moved on into all-timer territory. She’s taken down some of the best opponents Roast Battle has to offer. The only other person apart from Bryan Vokey to walk away from the 2018 tournament undefeated after exiting for personal reasons despite being the heavy favorite to win, Nicole’s already got a title match on the books against current Belly Room champ, Toby Muresianu next month. And while she exited undefeated, Jeff Sewing was the only battler to enter the tournament without a single loss to his record and still only narrowly earned the L against the overall winner in what was probably the best match of the tournament. It’s a no-holds-barred bloodbath between our two most bracket-busting battlers, and I am good at alliteration. Let’s roast!
